There is a club for everything miniature and the web is a great place to start searching. Usually the regional, national and international clubs have websites often with the name of the miniature category in the title.
- Local clubs may have links from a regional or national site. Check! And check again by running searches for your city’s name along with whatever club you are looking for – a search for San Francisco HO railroad club brings up a fair number of possibilities!
- Ask your local supplier. Any shop that sells supplies for a particular miniature club will have an idea of the club’s meeting schedule or show schedule, maybe even a contact list.
- Ask your local library. The libraries often keep catalogues of local club meeting information.
- Ask friends Remember the six degrees of separation. You are only six people away from finding anything, anywhere.
- Don’t give up - ask the next closest club to the area you want to find. If all else fails they may have an old contact who can tell you when and where the club meets.
